Licensed Fly Fishing Guide

While the Central Coast of California is not known as a fly fishing destination, this beautiful stretch of land between San Francisco and Los Angeles harbors a varied and exciting fishery. From ankle deep flats fishing for tailing carp in the Salinas Valley, to casting into the Pacific Ocean for surf perch, and chucking big streamers for cannibalistic largemouth bass in the reservoirs around San Luis Obispo, the Central Coast has a lot to offer for the fly angler.

I offer both whole and half day trips, walk and wade trips, as well as special float tube excursions. I am a licensed guide for the state of California with many years of experience guiding in salmon and trout streams in Iceland, as well as countless days putting in the hours and miles to learn the fisheries of the Central Coast.

I am located in the beautiful town of San Luis Obispo, or SLO as locals call it, right in the heart of the Central Coast. Within an hour and half of the town we have fantastic bass and carp fishing, as well as striped bass and surf perch fishing on the beaches. The local food and beer is fantastic, and the region is known for its wine, from Paso Robles to Edna Valley, so there is lots to do in addition to catching fish!
