Carp at Lake San Antonio

Carp are some of the most fun you can have with a fly rod. Entirely sight fishing, we have great carp fishing year round on the Central Coast.

Spring/summer - tailing fish on the flats, very similar to flats fishing in tropical saltwater destinations.

Fall/Winter - a mix of tailing fish and fish feeding on the surface. As the temps drop, more and more fish feed on top and by December/January our main focus is dry flies for these hard fighting fish!

Bass on the Local Lakes

We’ve got a lot of different lakes on the Central Coast that fish great for bass - largemouth, smallmouth and spotted bass.

Best in spring and fall, but can be good year round.

Streamer fishing in beautiful surroundings. The takes can be awesome and fun.

Best time for topwater in April - June

Trout at Lake San Antonio

The winter months and cooler water mean we have an opportunity to chase rainbow trout in the beautiful Lake San Antonio.

A great way to chase trout locally, and the fishing can be excellent.

This is a fantastic option to get kids into fishing, and if you are a newbie fly fisher.

Fly Fishing the Surf

The famous beaches of the California coastline also provide some fantastic fishing for surf perch and the occasional striped bass. Mostly light double handed rods.

Great option for a half day trip.

Over 18 only due to the unpredictable nature of the surf zone.
